Death: Symbolism and Creativity Workshop

Join a group of like-minded participants in a warm, welcoming space, to explore the symbols and feelings of endings and death through a multi sensory and creative experience. We will share images, photographs and sounds around loss and death, and explore ancient symbols, rituals and myths that have helped mankind come to terms with loss for centuries, before immersing ourselves in personal symbols and memories through creativity in a supportive and shared space. Coffee and croissants provided, plus all art materials and Death templates. If you would like to book the whole series of Symbolism and Creativity Workshops, see 8 week series starting on 27th January 2018 To view the death templates and see images from previous workshops, click here

I resisted the stereotypical “spooky” graveyard imagery as they are far removed from those I would associate with death and endings. However, in my rejection of those images I was able to produce my most creative and mysterious images of the entire workshop series.

This was a valuable and challenging session as it stirred up strong feelings, which are already in movement. For me this was perhaps the most personal of all sessions, as the others touched on more collective, mythical, cosmic concepts. The session felt safe.
